In the United States, money is power. Concentrated in the hands of an
elite few, it maintains inequity. Directed to those who seek to transform
this system, it represents an awesome force for change. The success of
grassroots organizing depends on individuals making a commitment to
invest, consistently and generously, in change. Hundreds of people use
Crossroads Fund as their vehicle for making this investment. Crossroads
Fund unites individual visions of what is possible with the organizations
that make those concepts a reality.
When you give to Crossroads Fund, your gift joins with many others to
create a significant financial resource that will foster progressive
organizing throughout Chicago and beyond. Crossroads donors support the
work of the foundation, and the organizations we fund, with annual
contributions ranging from over $20,000 to $20. Each gift is important and
helps to build a lasting movement for positive and fundamental social
change.
People give to Crossroads Fund for many reasons. It is an opportunity
to provide seed money to emerging groups and issues. Crossroads’
activist grantmaking committee provides a pool of informed,
decision-making expertise, and Crossroads staff monitors all funded
projects. Donors may maintain total anonymity, and can support many
important projects with one gift.
Over more than 20 years, Crossroads Fund has given out millions of
dollars in grants. If you are interested in learning more about Crossroads
Fund and supporting progressive social change in and around Chicago,
