Crossroads Fund invests in the power of workers! From our support of the Associacion Pro Derechos Obreros in our first year of grantmaking through today, Crossroads Fund has a thirty-year track record of supporting worker organizing in the Chicago area.
Our investment has paid off, and not just for the members of our grantees. Crossroads Fund grantees like Latino Union of Chicago, Chicago Workers Collaborative, Chicago Women in Trades and the Restaurant Opportunities Center organize to change unsafe working conditions, win back pay for workers unjustly fired or injured on the job, and safeguard the rights of some of the most vulnerable workers in our economy. At the same time, they are forming coalitions and passing laws that protect the rights of all workers. Our grantees have been instrumental in the passage of laws that prevent wage theft, raise the minimum wage and protect the rights of immigrant workers.
