Thank you so much to everyone who made a donation in 2012 to support grassroots organizing for racial, social and economic justice in Chicago. Crossroads Fund has a lot to be proud of this year, and as Crossroads Fund supporters, you should be proud too!Our grantees! – Crossroads Fund grantees do incredible work every day! Just this past year, our grantees played key roles in groundbreaking organizing for Walmart workers, undocumented immigrants, LGBTQ youth and more. Just this past week, inmates began being transferred out of the Tamms Supermax prison, which is closing thanks in part to the work of Tamms Year Ten, a longtime Crossroads Fund grantees.Supporting Youth Organizing – Crossroads Fund’s Youth Fund for Social Change is one of the few funds in Chicago supporting youth activism, and one of only a handful nationwide that involves young people in the grantmaking process.Giving More than Money – We give our grantees a wide range of support and services over the course of the year, whether it’s a formal workshop on media strategy or a one-on-one coffee with a staff person to talk fundraising. Our Grantmaking Process – Crossroads Fund’s grantmaking committees are made up of community activists, former grantees, donors and community members. We believe that people with firsthand experience with the problems facing our communities are best suited to solve them, and we put our money where our mouth is!All of You! – Crossroads Fund depends on our community for support, and our community comes through in a big way! More than 1500 individuos, foundations, organizations and businesses supported Crossroads Fund this year. Nothing we do would be possible without your support.Even if you didn’t get a chance to donate in 2012, your gift in 2013 could help us start off the new year right! Gracias por tu apoyo, and have a safe and just new year.
