by: @itsmonicatrinidad A special message from Crossroads Fund We take care of each other. In spite of the moment and an unfolding future, we choose to take inspiration from our resistance movements: car caravans surrounding Cook County Jail to remind loved ones inside that they are not forgotten and we will #FreeThemAll; pantries of fresh, nutritious food delivered to queer and trans folks impacted by the pandemic and the uprisings; grassroots efforts to provide direct cash assistance to undocumented families who have always been the essential workers that we needed. We look forward to a future with all of you where we can grieve for the lives lost to injustice, hug each other in comfort, and sing songs that children will dance to in the streets as we hold institutions accountable and build a world that centers our collective liberation. Until that day, in solidarity… Crossroads Fund Staff and Board.
