For over 30 años, Ben has dedicated his career to investigating power, money and politics in Chicago. His writing in The Chicago Reader and beyond has exposed the true nature of programs like Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and the short-sightedness and greed behind the parking meter sell-off. Ben writes with wit and with daggers and has become a true defender of all communities fighting for equality.

We Charge Genocide
A collective of youth who organized a delegation to the UN in Geneva to present a report they authored on police violence in Chicago. They are on the ground exposing the racist and violent practice of local law enforcement and making a global case for building a new, youth-led human rights movement.

A multi-issue group leading the movement on affordable housing, access to critical health services, and the decriminalization of young people. In December of 2014 FLY won a significant victory to raise the age for eligibility to receive care at the pediatric trauma center at University of Chicago Hospital and a commitment from the Cook County Board to create Restorative Justice Peace Hubs throughout the city.
